When Nike unveiled the Lightning Storm Pack in July 2015, they weren’t just launching new boots—they were charging the game with raw energy. Designed for the start of the 2015/16 season, this explosive collection injected vibrancy and electricity into every blade of grass across Europe’s top leagues.
The concept? Every silo, every position, every playing style—supercharged with high-voltage colour. From the Volt Magistas to the Hyper Pink Hypervenoms, the Lightning Storm Pack was anything but subtle.

🎨 The Pack Line-Up: Colour Meets Chaos
Nike paired each silo with a single, electrifying tone:
Nike Magista Obra / Opus – ⚡ Turquoise control boot, redefined in retina-burning yellow. Designed for maestros like Iniesta who dictated tempo with flair.
Nike Hypervenom Phantom II – 💖 Green Strike Unpredictable and explosive. The second-gen Phantom turned heads—and defenders—with Flyknit and that bold pink coat.
Nike Mercurial Superfly IV / Vapor X – 🔥 Hyperpink Blistering pace, now in a colourway that screamed danger. This was built for the fastest players on the planet.
Nike Tiempo Legend V – 🟢 Green Strike Classic leather and elite touch meets modern attitude. A boot that proved heritage doesn’t have to be boring.
Each boot came loaded with Nike’s latest innovations—Flyknit uppers, ACC tech, NIKESKIN, and carbon-fibre plates—all dressed in the brightest detailing.
🧠 Designed by Alex Penfornis
French art director Alex Penfornis was the creative mind behind the visuals of the Lightning Storm campaign. His work brought the boots to life in explosive digital compositions that felt like watching energy flow through the players themselves.
The campaign wasn’t just about boots—it was about movement, confidence, and owning the moment. Nike wanted players to feel like forces of nature, not just athletes.
⚡ Bootsfinder’s Take
The Lightning Storm Pack hit at just the right time. After the minimalism of previous seasons, players were hungry for personality—and Nike delivered it in buckets.
This pack was divisive at first, especially the Hyper Pink Phantom, but over time it’s become a collector’s favourite. If you're a fan of statement boots with historical weight, the Lightning Storm Pack is a standout from Nike’s modern era.
We're always on the lookout for clean pairs, especially the rarer SG and AG variants. So if you're hunting lightning in a box—you know where to look.
